Delivery & Returns
Please note that no deliveries or collections will be scheduled until the payment for the product has been settled in full.
Free delivery (where applicable) only applies to major city centres in South Africa, namely, Gauteng, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein and Durban.
If no free delivery applies, then the delivery cost will depend on the parcel weight, dimensions and area of delivery. The price is calculated according to the tariffs set by our courier company. However, we have done our best to source the most cost effective and reliable agent.
Please let us know if you would prefer to collect your order from one of our showrooms. The person collecting the product must produce the original invoice in order to release the goods.
The person receiving the items will be required to sign the Delivery Note, indicating that each item has been received in good condition. Springlights cannot be held liable for any damages that were not indicated on the Delivery/Collection Note by the Customer.
Deliveries are outsourced and will be on any week day between the hours of 09h00 and 16h00. No deliveries will be made during weekends or public holidays. Should a special delivery be requested, an additional levy on the full delivery fee will be charged. For all deliveries, the estimated delivery time is an estimate. Please note that circumstances beyond our control may result in unexpected changes to the agreed delivery date and time.
Any additional delivery costs due to failed deliveries caused by client or access problems will be for the customer’s account.
We regret we do not offer storage facilities.

- Unwanted products
If you find your item unsuitable or you’re not entirely satisfied please notify us by e-mail at email@example.com within 72 hours of receipt notifying us of your intention to return the product(s).
We will gladly refund the item once it has been returned to us, provided the item is not a custom order (an example of this might be a piece of fabric cable cord that has been cut according to the customer’s own dimension requirements, or a light fitting that has been custom made according to your specifications).
However, should you choose to make a return, Springlights is not responsible for any additional shipping costs and your initial shipping charges are non-refundable.
Items are only eligible for return if they following criteria are met:
- We have been notified of your intention to return the item within 72 hours of receipt
- Item has not been installed or used
- Item is still in its original condition and packaging
- All components/parts are present
- We are given a receipt or proof of purchase
- They were not purchased on sale or promotion. In this case each instance will be dealt with on a case by case basis
- Products damaged on delivery or incorrectly supplied
If we have made a mistake or you receive an item that is damaged, we would be happy to return and replace your product at no additional cost to you. Please notify us by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org within 72 hours of receipt to discuss a refund, repair or replacement.
We will ask you to send us a photo of any damage for our records to assist us in taking appropriate action. Upon confirmation we will arrange for collection of the item by our courier, who will advise you of a proposed collection date. We will require you to take care of the item after you have taken delivery of it until it is collected, as it might be necessary to return it to the manufacturer. Please include your customer order details with the item(s) to be returned, as these are necessary for processing a return. Once received, the items will be checked and our customer services will contact you to discuss a replacement or full refund. We are unable to give refunds for damaged items not notified within 72 hours.
- Defective products
If an item is not working as specified, please notify us by email at email@example.com within 72 hours of receipt to discuss a refund, repair or replacement.
We will ask you to send us a photo or short video of the defect to assist us in taking the appropriate action.
Upon confirmation we will take the agreed upon action to rectify/replace the defective item.
- Order Exchanges & Cancellations
Should you wish to make any changes to your order, they must be done within one business day of your purchase. This includes cancellation requests, product modifications, and quantity adjustment.
